I think Rene~ still has some vintage Zodiacs and can probably give you all the skinny.
A lot of the newer Zodiac autos are stuffed with Claro-Semag CL888 calibre movements which are just rebadged Sea-Gull ST-16 movements.

Apparently, Zodiac was purchased by Fossil back in 2001, so I doubt we will see anything cutting edge.

I'm intrigued, what can you tell/show me? *borrowed pic* THIS page will tell you everything you could ever want to know about Vintage Zodiacs....... www.vintagezodiacs.com/I had over 25 Zodiacs at one time and regret selling mine! They are an EXTREMELY popular watch on the Bay and elsewhere. I used to buy all of mine at the Carlsbad outlet mall and generally paid around $55.00 - $75.00 for mine. (They were re-conditioned of course but still came with a one year warranty.) WORST decision I ever made was to sell them off. They are now fetching 2-3 times more then what I paid for mine. The one in your pic is one of the most desirable and sought after. I dont care what anyone tells you.......Zodiacs if you can get them for the right price are a GREAT bang for the dollar. SOLID, RELIABLE and very attractive.

Here's one example: Even though it's owned by Fossil, it's not just a fossil with the name "Zodiac" I forget the caliber off hand, but there's a pretty good quality ETA movement inside that one. I like them, but nothing like the vintage babies.

I'm intrigued, what can you tell/show me? *borrowed pic* Fun fact... a good majority of the vintage Zodiac auto chronographs are really just re-branded Heuer models. On some of the dials you can still see the Heuer brand on it if you look at it at certain angles. Thus the moniker "poor mans Heuer"
