Well, you need one for a H556 or H558. Many (most) of the part from the H557 are interchangeable but you need a rounded (see below) as opposed to rectangular (see below) mainplate the H556 and H558's also have an LCD which has the top corners cut off if I were you, I'd look out for a) a working H556 (less common, more expensive) or b) a non working H556 and a working H557 (much more common) and make one working one from the two They are surprisingly easy to work on.

You can pick up dress style H556's on ebay for under £50 when they appear. As far as I'm aware the only difference between that movement and the H558 is the battery clamp. I paid around £30 for one of these to bring an Arnie back to life -

Thanks - I just seem to be struggling to find one I know it can be risky but you may find you have more options if you look at the Italian eBay. They often have 556/558/601/etc. watches up for auction.

Ok movement received and installed (albeit with dress dial and hands) pushers not'pushing) im hoping this is because I have no stem installed(awaiting female part of stem) I also received the hands and dial today I'm just sitting at the table removing the rust from the hands with one of Mrs Lewie's nail blocks (oops) I've order some 'liquid silver' to coat the hands - Python they will just require a lume

Looks awesome. Even my really clean h601 Arnie from the 90's has dull lume that only lasts about an hour. Very inspiring.

No need for secrecy, I am a member on here after all... The bezel arrived today and the pip received two coats of blue/white lume to match the dial and hands. It'll be back in the post tomorrow and I look forward to seeing the finished article
