I understand the gold dial/black indicator ring Pogues were legit only in Australia and possibly New Zealand. Since that is where you are, if the seller is local, I'd be inclined to think it is an original and legit.
If it's an online (ahem, fleabay) US or Euro seller, I would avoid.

Looks very good - but I'm watching it too. :-) Figured you might be, as well as all the other AUS collectors, I think it will quickly get out of my price range.

I'm sure it'll get out of what I'd like to pay too. I offered a BIN before any bids were placed but the seller said he'd rather go to auction. He'd get more bids if he listed it properly and gave some commentary on its working condition and a caseback photo. For all we know it has the wrong caseback and no crown :-)

May be a proposition for someone who has one or more to use as parts, but in my case with nothing else of its type it would be just an expensive pain finding parts to restore it, I just watch them to see the ridiculous prices they sell for. Hope you have luck with it! Max

Oh, I just noticed that the seller has 0 feedback. Either they're new and inexperienced or not...

If it is a -6002...and ONLY if it's a -6002...it should be fine.

Usually the story there is "Dad died a few years ago and I've had this sitting around. My friend told me they are worth a lot of money now so I thought I'd sell it". Oh, I just noticed that the seller has 0 feedback. Either they're new and inexperienced or not...

My first Pogue, a legit black ring'd gold dial Australian model.. was a 6002 case with an R dial. It had Automatic, Chronograph and Water Resist dial text.
