There are a few watches that I will never sell one being my 6306 I got from the original owner who lives in Australia and while the serial is not my birth watch the original owner purchased the watch while on "holiday" in Hong Kong in December 1976 which is my birth watch. I only got the full story on the watch after I sent the seller a message on EBAY that the watch was not a 6308 it was a 6306 and I would give him $200 for it while the bid was only at $25. A few days later he said he had received many emails with people offering him $30 and $50 and after replying that he had an offer of $200 then the real money offers starting coming out trying to top mine and he said he decided to sell it to me because I was honest from the start and told the rest to piss off (this was back in 2003 or so)
So back to the topic. I have had a few watches that I have worn the crap out of but end up selling them for some reason. And I always miss them when they are gone. However I have hundreds of watches sitting in boxes and drawers that I haven't worn in years. I guess the reason why I sell the ones I love is they hog all of the wrist time and the others get put out to pasture so mentally I have to let them go.
I miss my 6306 Scuba Pro MOD (the Shawn Taylor original from Ramon the watch collector only 4 dials made and he kept 2 for himself so only 2 made it out, not the Loys bandwagon puppy mill ones out nowadays) and my SKX007 Flieger case mod.
I guess that is one of the main reasons I rarely sell any of my watches.
What is the one that you let get away?
