Been looking for one of these remakes for a while now.. Ed in Hong Kong does his own homage range and the gold chapter ring and blued hands really appealed to me.. Ordered two weeks ago but had to wait for Ed's order to come through from the factory he uses in China.. Once he had checked and packaged it the speed of delivery to New Zealand was pretty well lightning speed.. Putting it in perspective a package sent from one part of NZ to another can take 4 to 5 days at times.. Haven't measured fully yet but case is 38mm..

Great watch! Had one several years ago when Pete got me into Chinese watches.

I like it, and that movement is pretty sweet!

I have one from Ed too, and I love it. I'm sure you are going to enjoy yours.
Cheers!

Nice Tony. Mine gets admired from its place in the watchbox. I should break it out again. I had an early problem with one of the pusher springs which Al at Archer Watches was able to replace using a springbar spring.

These are great little watches Tony. I have an older one with the acrylic crystal and solid caseback, the small size is sweet and so refreshing after the over size watches of today. The movement is the same used in the Alpha Daytona, in my experience they are robust and reliable.

Bought a new stitching tool before Christmas.. Today I decided to have my first go using it to make a bund pad for the chronograph strap.. Cheers

Aloha Sir, Hi Tony and how are you doing these days ? That is a very nice one and I like it a lot and just might be thinking about it. That is a very classy looking one and Chinese , but I have read they make some good watch's too. That Strap is a good looking one and maybe a future project to be gotten. Maybe mass production coming around for more of your beautiful watch's there. Got to hand it to you also Tony you find some choice ones and they look great. I am always amazed to your posting and drool on them.... . Aloha Sir Louis

It seems my foray into the Eaglmoss miltary watch/mags has lead me to more interest in military watches in general - just snagged one of these Seagull 1963 Chinese Air Force Chronographs - ED1963 - Let's see what it's like when it arrives, I've read some good things so far. If I get a chance I'd like to compare to my vintage Roamer Stingray chrono from the early 70's - these 2 chonographs are about the same size (38mm) and function.

Hi. Had one for years. Thian bought his at the same time. Only problem has been with the pushers 3minute fix. The comparison with the Roamer will be interesting as I think the movements are the same. Cheers Phil

I haven't had much luck with these. I got two from Long Island Watch and they both seemed to have chronograph issues. The chronograph wouldn't reset completely on either!

Cheers Phil Mine from Ed had a pusher problem as well but a spring from a springbar provided the fix. Seldom wear it.
