Like it or lump it....the Chinese are progressing in its quality of 'homages'. I found a WUS thread on it and decided to buy it for $122usd. Comes with a ceramic bezel, screwdown crown, Miyota 821a see-through back. Time is quite accurate. The seller in China ran out of the OEM nato strap so I asked for the grey one. I could have waited a week for him to get more in stock. I installed my German goatskin mil strap intstead. astin M. Debert by blingmeister, on Flickr

Looks like a decent homage.
At least it has a Miyota movement.
I'd have to see one in person the evaluate the case and bezel quality.

Does this movement hack? If not, I wonder why they didn't use a Dixmont or Nanning movement instead since they do hack and are at least as well if not better built.

Yes, hacking movement. www.citizen.co.jp/miyota_mvt/9015/top.htmlBut Thian clearly states: "Miyota 821a"...I was not aware that any of the 82 series hacked.

This model sells for cheap so I figure they used the 821a with seethru back. The Parnis watches will show 9015 mvt. but costs more. My Borealis Estoril from Portugal micro company uses the hacking 9015 but cost near $500usd. So far the 821a is quite accurate. For cheap bucks the watch is decent

I'm not sure there is really enough actual difference to warrant the higher price for the 9015 but I guess that's just a marketing thing

What is the high beat Miyota movement that all of kickupstartdelayspace brands aren't using?

I believe Mikey's NTH Scorpene has the 9015 under the hood.

I believe Mikey's NTH Scorpene has the 9015 under the hood. Yes, it has. It has been running about -10 sec/day. I think all of the 82xx movements I've had have been a bit better than that. I do like the hacking and hand-wind, though.

I bought this very watch last year. Came with a grey NATO. I can't find anything wrong with it. I have a few Chinese homage watches. There is always a corner cut somewhere. The case work is a smooth, crisp and clean as any recent Seiko 5 I have. I see no dust bunnies or debris in the movement. I say this because that is what I have found in most of the Chinese watches I have. Seiko should steal their bezel alignment team because it lines up perfectly.
I have no idea what it is a homage of. I just liked it so I bought it.

I just liked it so I bought it. It is a homage to the Bond movie SPECTRE. I think you chose one which happens to be pretty good. On the WUS forum for the watch, one fellow got a stuck bezel, but that is nothing new with other watches. We can get a dud anytime.....
