Well a bit sweet and sour my hands arrived today so fitted them but the seconds hand just wont go on nor will the original so a bit pissed off to be honest. Just want to throw the watch in the back of the drawer and forget it and put it down to experience as cant be bothered to strip watch down again also scratched the face so 400 quid wasted. Ah well live and learn and before anyone says take it to a good jeweller we aint got one any where near where i live.

I feel you pain with scratching the dial. I did the same. I was trying to get the hands perfect at 12 for the date change and after about 8 or 9 attempts it finally happened...But hey the hands are perfect in case I'm looking at the watch precisely at 12 o'clock! Which at my age never happens... Funny the second hand won't fit back on...

That sucks :-/ Seconds hands can be very temperamental to replace. I've had watches that seemed like the hand would not go on then after a bit of a break from trying, they just popped on.Can you see if perhaps the pinion has broken off and is stuck in the original hand? I've had that a couple of times with Citizen 8200 series movements.
I know your photo isn't the highest quality but the scratch doesn't seem to show on the dial.

Got a dark blue handset coming from dagaz so could use that second hand and a couple of cheap black ones so should be sorted soonish 😀
