Hey I know some of the AS parts for different calibers are interchangeable from looking at Borel's.
I just picked up another "savivor" sporting a 1187/94 movement. I have only popped off the back so far to ID the movement. I'm not sure if its an 87/94. The 94 being, from what I can tell, the same size movement as the 1686. The 1187 is smaller. I have passed on all my stock of 1187/1194's but have quit a few 1686's left. This is a nonrunner I'll strip it and find out why. But I wonder can I just swap dials? Are the dial feet in the same position? From the pictures on ranfft look to be n the same spots. The simplest thing is a dial swap, for me for now, and I'm anxious to get this on the wrist.
Time permitting I'll post up some photos. This guy has some pretty incredible lugs and full stainless case...screw back... Center seconds.
