I fancied one of these way back. Way before I got Ill with "Must-have-watches-ititus"
So when I saw one on the 'bay I thought I nab it so long as it stayed cheep-ish.
But thought I'd better ask "Check it out" I found out the movement (ISA 8172/220 quartz chronograph) & put up a thread asking for opinions.
Had a few positive comments, and donciccio chipped in that it was a decent movement that could be replaced for about 40 bucks (so if it turns out to be a lemon it's sooooo his fault!! )
Watched it & it went for a low-ish price & was mine!!! Well, it arrived today and I snapped a few pictures for you guys, you love it you lot, yes you do! (Sorry about the quality, just used my phone)
In the box, which is nice.
Inside the box is a plasetic "Can"
And inside the "Can" is the watch, sitting in its own little nest, Awwwwww. To tell the truth, its not a bad looking bit of kit IMO.
Out it comes, complete with all tags still on, cool wave pattern on the dial, can see it more then is shown in the photo.
The crown & Crono buttons are screw down.
Wave design carries onto the Case-back. As you can see it's a 200 meter diver. Still has sticker on.
Wrist shot. Well be rude not to put one in really. As you can see, shes big! 45 mm, but feels way smaller on the wrist. Bit like a 6309 thats been to the gym.
Signed buckle. Nice touch.
So, all in all I'm a happy camper. My first Crono. My first "Swiss." Will need to live with it for a few days to see if its "ME" but I think it could be. And if it isn't? Its my boy Jordans Birthday in 2 weeks, I'll give it to him.
Thanks for reading this far, will keep you all posted thunbsup.gif
