Very nice, is the case brass? I am guesssing so, as where the gold has worn away at the lugs, it looks like brass.. I guess that is where the term brassing comes from in watch descriptions..

I always found it interesting that when you see a pure brass watch case; it looks like gold but when you see a gold plated case that has worn through, the brass does not look like gold embarrassed-smiley-face I have a watch with brassing and if I buff it up ; it looks like gold for a little while...until the brass/alloy tarnishes again. I haven't gotten my plating kit yet but I am hoping that I will be able to revive some cases or at least some hands to their original looks. Sure would be nice to revive a case like that Sire

Always useful to have a polishing cloth handy when you have a gold case with brassing as then you can keep it looking like all gold.. This pic shows the black enamel on the end of the indices.. Cheers

Cheers Polishes up good Tony. The dial and hands remind me of my father's Eterna...very similar and well matched. Your dial looks to be in pristine condition thunbsup.gif
