Well I like the SLA025, and the 7549 replica, but I'm on the fence about the SPB077 and 079. I reckon they'll be condemned like the 62MAS-lites were, but people seem to be coming around to those.

Here are my thoughts on this years Baselworld announcements. For the Prospex announcements there are a number of reissues and some interesting new models with something for everyone. Baselworld 2018 Releases - Seiko ProspexGrand Seiko have announced some great models at this years Baselworld. It is great to see a VFA back in the line up and some very interesting designs. Baselworld 2018 Releases - Grand SeikoThe new Seiko Presage models announced at Baselworld are great additions to the range. There are a couple of Shippo Enamel models as well as a new thinner movement the 6L35. Baselworld 2018 Releases - Seiko PresageCredor announced a new rose gold Eichi II (LGBT998) cased model to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Eichi. This is one of my favourite Credor models and it looks great in the new gold case. Baselworld 2018 Releases - CredorSeiko announced the new Astron Executive Sports series that now provide 200m water resistance, titanium case, larger LumiBrite hands and a sapphire bezel. Baselworld 2018 Releases - Seiko Astron

I’m disappointed that Seiko didn’t produce these as part of their regular line at a reasonable price! Guess maybe I’ll look into the heritage Tuna’s pricing since it’s not a limited edition. I love my Tunas but I’d dearly love a green MM to go with my regular MM

Prospex logo instead of MARINEMASTER is a no go for me.
-edit: I think maybe I am retracting this statement, as nowhere has Seiko claimed this to be a Marinemaster

The 019? Of course it's a Marinemaster, but Seiko is replacing the MM text with the Prospex logo throughout the line. The caseback of the tunas still says "Marinemaster", I assume the 019 will be the same.

Lol...the '1978 Reissue' looks more like a '1985-2008 Reissue' to me. A 1000m shrouded diver in titanium nitride with a 7c46 movement? Yeah, that's one of these (last sold by Seiko about a decade ago)... I am sure a really nice one could be had for about 1/3 the cost of this 'reissue'. Sheeesh...Seiko is getting kind of silly with the 'Limited Edition Reissue' thing.

If I didn't already have a MM300 I'd be in for the SPB077. The only time the X bothers me is when they have added it to existing models, then I can't un-see it.
