Due to the late start for this years Wrist Sushi’s Annual WRUW competition, my lack of creativity and lets face it, its impossible to improve on perfection. I have decided to basically copy and paste last years Grand Mufti @cd_god and his great work. His rules were clear and easy to follow.
The rules will stay relatively the same, there will be some new challenges and I hope to split the scores a little further this year.
The contest will still consist of a 3 part theme to complete involving a specific type of watch, a background and an object to display in the photo.
Bonus Points
This year there will be 2 bonus point opportunities.
Now for the RULES
Anyone can join in. No minimum previous posts required.
The contest will be 10 days long and will run from Friday July 20th through Sunday July 29th. Thursday June 19th will be prequel day and the chance for a the unique Seiko bonus point.
There will be 15 themes involving a specific type of watch required and a specific place / background that needs to be in the background of your photo. If the background is out of focus post a second pic of the background from the same angle as your wrist shot. There will also be an object that will need to be in the picture. If the object is out of focus post a second pic of the object from the same angle as your wrist shot
Each theme can only be used once. The same watch can be used more than once as long as it meets the themes requirement.
Since there are 15 themes and only 10 days in the contest you chose 10 out of the 15 themes that you can complete to make it easier for everyone to participate.
Any theme can be posted on any day during the contest as long as the watch shows the correct date that is was posted which is same as last year. No makeup days. Each days post must explain which theme you are doing.
You can only earn 1 bonus point from a steal. A bonus point watch can only be stolen once by the first person to post the same watch.
Scoring And Prize Selection
Each theme has the potential to earn 3 points. 1 point for the watch portion, 1 point for the required background, and 1 point for the object.
There will be 2 "contests": the Grand Prize contest and the raffle drawing contest.
The Grand Prize will be awarded to the member who completes the most themes and has the most points. In the event of a tie there will be a tie breaker.
The person who guesses the amount of people lined up at the coffee shop at The John Hunter Hospital at 10:08:42 (it will be unlikely that I get it at that exact time, but this is my aim) I also have a back up tie breaker should there be 2 correct guesses.
The winner will get first pic from all of the prizes offered. There will be no additional prizes draft pick style going down the list of runners up. Only one winner and only one prize for this contest.
The second contest will be a raffle drawing. You get one entry for every point that you earned. 36 points possible, 36 chances to win a prize. The first member picked gets their choice of one of the remaining prices. The second member picked gets the next draft pick and so one down the line. Only one prize per member. If you won the Grand Prize contest or your name was already picked you do not get to go again even if one of your entries is chosen later on. Better odds = more chances at a prize = happier participants.
Bonus Points
You can earn one additional entry in the raffle contest drawing for each of the bonus point themes below.
Post a Youtube video that features a watch. It does not have to be a review of a watch but it does have to make mention of what you are wearing. You also need to mention the Wrist Sushi Forum in the video or have www.wristsushi.com is visible in the video for example; written on a piece of paper visible in the background or next to the item if it is sitting on a table or by some other crafty means.

Thursday July 19th will be prequel day. "Wear a watch that no one else on the forum owns" Choose your own background. The watch must be a stock Seiko. No MOD'd watches. The watch must show the correct date. If no one else posts the same watch as you during the contest you get a bonus point. If someone else has the same watch as you and posts it during the contest they get a bonus point and you lose your bonus point. If you are going for the steal by showing the same watch post the name of the member you are stealing from. Your watch must show the correct date when you post it. The strap or bracelet does not need to be the same on both watches. You can earn one bonus point for posting a unique watch and another point if you steal by posting the same unique watch as someone else.
The point of this comp is to have fun and get to know each other better... The prizes are a great kicker!
