Starting with some quartz today, a black flighty 7T92-0CF0. Hope you’re all having good weekends.

Hello all. I bought this some years ago after I discovered a 1960s Seamaster 300 was out of reach. It was my daily wearer for a couple of years. This was reasonably priced as it had a few dings in it and ran a bit fast. A service and a replacement caseback made all the difference.

Parts drawer 7009 today. The case housed a Mumbai special which had a really clean but non-running genuine 7009 movement, with one of those hideously garish dials and hands that had been cut down to size. The dial is a really dark blue and came in a parts watch I picked up solely for the case. The movement has been cleaned and oiled and is running exceptionally well with high amplitude and barely any beat error. Ok, the hands are still ropey looking and could do with reluming but that’s for another day. Dark blue leather strap sets it off nicely I think.

Had to go into work this morning and sort the irrigation out, it gave up the ghost on Friday, all bled done and dusted. Wearing a recent buy, my pseudo beater. Have a crackin' Sunday whatever you are up to.

Both of these on my golf outing this morning. We are under a hurricane watch for Thursday or Friday this week.

This is a bit of a Franken. PO installed a 700x dial in a 703x case.

A bracing walk around Ivinghoe Beacon this morning, then dirty clothes on, watch off, back into garden and yes, more deck building ..... but knowing this watch is waiting for me at the end of it makes it all worth it :-)

Today's Seiko golf tip of the day: proper posture allows your right hip to turn out of of the way during the backswing.

Haven't worn this one for a while. Jonathan's bubble-boy crystals always make picture-taking a bit of a challenge!
