Worked on the 7019-7060, the crystal was pretty banged up and the body had some pitting throughout the metal and minor scratches. My grandfather worked with metal mostly, as well as being a pigeon racer the watches were worn daily. The original bracelet was changed to one of the stretch stainless kind, since I have relatively slender wrists I changed it to a leather strap from Graft Supply. I couldn't find a reasonably priced replacement crystal so I decided to take a chance sanding it down and polishing it up.
Unfortunately there was some pretty bad pitting on the glass, there are still two or 3 faint pin sized holes on the surface, I wasn't too sure about how far I'd have to keep sanding and polishing before they would disappear. Although I kept at it, it didn't seem to have any affect on it after several hours. Overall I'm just happy with the finish and that the scratches are gone and the legibility is back from other angles.
