Hi diverdave,
Personally, I think they are beautiful and would make a great addition to any collection. If I were not downsizing, I would definetly give them a long look. Michael

Beautiful watches, congratulations! I’m a big fan of Seiko watches from this era, so clean and, well, elegant. I’ll bet peenemunde will post a pic of about 15 of them soon!

Wow, those look great! I also like the variations in their bracelets, the last one looks similar to the ones found on LMs.

Lovely watches, diverdave. I really like the case style of these - very similar to the 50m Silverwaves. Seiko could do worse than mining their early 60s heritage.

Could you post pictures of the crowns? Are they all "SW"? I've seen a couple of Champions from the period that have a "W" signed crown, and I'm wondering if the SWs were around at the very beginning of the '60s, or maybe started being used in '62-'63.

I finally managed to get the full set of Cronos 50m cased “divers” from the late 1950’s earl 1960’s. That being (in order of age, I believe) j13028,j13032 and finally j13046. All serviced with NOS Seiko crystal and new seals. It took me quite a while to find them on Yahoo and to get them working correctly (thanks Benchdweller!) and although they are not large watches, they are really comfortable to wear and I like the dial variations and different case designs. I agree they are not what I call real divers watches, but do have a two piece screw back case, which was a first for Seiko. Anyway I hope you like them and I feel they are under appreciated at the moment. Hubba! Hubba!

There is this dial variant from 1960..The Cronos also came with a black dial and a unique bracelet with Cronos and the sea horse on the clasp.

Cool! And was the signed crown an "SW" back in 1960?
