Is this a legitimate variant of the Z22, or a knock off? It's much more pliable than the modern polyurethane Seiko dive straps. It feels similar to silicone rubber, but doesn't attract lint and dust. It has a square buckle, unlike the modern "flat vent" Z22s. It came attached to a 6306-7001 that I bought years ago from a collector in the Philippines. Thanks! Myles

To my eyes, the strap looks fine but that is definitely a fake 6306!

Truthfully, from that clasp, I think it is a legit Seiko strap. Seiko emblazened zillions of variants "Z22" (or "ZXX" to match the lug width) across all sorts of OEM strap designs, often that fit only one model. The Solars seem to have cornered the market for one-off strap designs and a lot of them are really fantastic. Or it's a fake Uncle Seiko and they left off the "Uncle".
