Welcome aboard! My top tip would be to buy proper tweezers and learn how to dress them, that will greatly reduce the ‘ping’ moments... although you’ll still get them from time to time! What watch(es) are you working on?

Welcome. Look around for a while, and my go to advice for just starting out is get a few very common movements, swiss, jap doesn't matter and take them apart and put them back together over and over BEFORE you star in on a watch you love.
I became familiar the Swiss AS1686 because of its popularity (and I had one or two in watches that needed service), although the as1187 is even more abundant I've noticed. Simple three hand manual wind in a fair size too. These will get you in to the feel of tweezers and screw drivers and working under magnification which is a trick.
Good luck.
