In San Antonio, TX visiting a very good friend of mine... Carne Asada, Charro Beans and Rice for breakfast I think so... That looks really good!
I also LOVE New Mexican cuisine. My favorite is carne adovada. If you're ever in Santa Fe, try a restaurant called Tomasita's. BEST NM food ever! If you can't get in there try Maria's Cantina. You won't be disappointed!

Is Maria’s in Albuquerque? If so... I’ve eaten there and it’s incredible. Appreciate the heads up Sir... will give it a go should I be within arms reach.

So I have a good friend that lives in ABQ and I think there is a restaurant called Maria's that is VERY good but I'd have to confirm with him. The place in ABQ has amazing salsa as I recall and they do sell it "to go" in styrofoam containers! There is also a tiny place in ABQ called Taco Sal that was really good. Small place in a strip mall. Good food at good prices. More of a "dive" than a restaurant but still good food. I've also heard (but not eaten there) that Mary and Tito's Cafe in ABQ is very good.
There is also a place in Santa Fe called Maria's Cantina. I'd have to confirm that it's still there because I couldn't find it on google. It may be Maria's New Mexican Kitchen and I just mixed up cantina with cocina. Either way, Tomasita's is the best place AFAIK in Santa Fe.
I'll email my friend and LYK.
