I was looking online for a new mil style watch strap and found a bunch in Google Images. Clicked on one I liked and was taken to their web store. I decided to buy it and when I hit the order button the payment info page came up and I put in my credit card info and hit submit.
2 seconds later I get an email congratulating me for joining some dating site???
I googled the info in the e-mail and damned if it isn't a huge scam site. What they do is pirate purchase window from legit sites then move them around so you think you are buying what you intended. NOT!

Good thing I cancelled the card right away because apparently there were 7 new charges since I got scammed. Those have all been blocked and I have a new card coming! I really, really hate these pho king thieves. I never even saw the scam switch for the payment; it was that slick. This is going to make it harder for the unwise to avoid this crap.
Oh well, maybe I'll get used to buying things with cash again(new card won't arrive for 5 to 7 business days)
Be careful out there; if something doesn't look right or even if it does but you have a hunch...stop before committing. Some of these scams are very difficult to get clear of

What's sad, and no not that your wife is cheap is that a coworker had gotten scammed, contacted his bank and credit card companies, and none of them cared to follow up and try and catch and arrest those that did it. In the end he was glad everything turned out okay but he was amazed that whenever he'd try and give someone the physical address of where the scammers wanted $20K in walmart gift cards in $200 increments sent to they didn't want it! Now my cheap wife joke or whatever. I came home from work and saw my wife in her nightie on the couch, on the coffee table were all these quarters. I said "what the hell is this" and she said "well I decide to make some money". I laughed and said who was the cheapskate who paid in quarters, and she said "They all did"

When does your mail order bride arrive?
Glad you caught it in time, can’t say that I’ve heard of a scam like that one before.

I’ve got a 6309 with a serial number of 191583. Can you ask your dating site when it was made?

Wrinkles I can handle. The possibility of the rubber breaking is what worries me.
