Not sure if anyone has posted about this black version yet, as been awol, again. To much work.
But it could mean a possible new watch lol!
Really like the all black look of this. Even though limited to 500.
Any thought on the subject below... ?

Thanks Ian first I have seen this. Apparently much like the BAPE version, this SPB107 will only be sold through Topper Jewelers.
I have the blue bezel SPB079 (aka SBDC063). This will be a Ninja cased version of that watch, meaning powered by a 6R15 engine.
Will sell for $1000 with a $500 deposit.
From the looks of that case and bezel and limited to 500 pieces this is surely going to become hard to get down the road. So down the road to the convenience store I go for a lottery ticket !

I am very tempted by it. By the time I get round to deciding they will probably all be gone... lol!
But got my eye on two other watches at the moment

I also like the look, but I can't really see myself paying that much...
"What honey? I'm on the computer!"
"What? Topper's called back and my reservation is good? Okay!"
Uh, like I was saying, US$1000 is just too much!

I like it, but not for that kind of money.

I am also not a realistic buyer but the rationale is that the similar "1968 Re-Issue" SBDC/SPB models (JDM/USA) list for about $750-ish on rubber and about $900 on a bracelet. So in that light the 'extra' is quite reasonable.

The price I could live with. As have been looking at a CWC's SBS dive watch and a Seiko Weekdater
The thing that I hate having to factor in is the 25-27% import tax to Finland. But that is just part of getting watches from Japan or America.
Would be great If Seiko produced one for for their line up, that would be world wide available.

Nice looking watch but I'm not a fan of the huge triangle hour hand that they use on EVERY dive watch recently.
That being said, it's not a big deal for me since the asking price is above my pay grade.

I hear ya Bob. Thatโs how I feel about this 1968 ReIssue series, too. Thatโs why I subbed in MM hands on mine:

I guess I'll be the contrarian, I've never liked black watch cases. They all look like modded watches to me.

Having a MM300 I never really cared for the 061/063 models, but I really like this black version.
However $1K for a 6r15 watch is hard to stomach.

Alright Dave, what's going on? Back on a WRUW dated March 4 you referred to the 6R15 movement as crappy, then the other day you said they were too much money and now? It is a cool watch so I can appreciate the pre-cognitive dissonance but are you having an estrogen spike big guy? I'm in and July can't get here soon enough. This has been the only watch that's caused me to break my no pre-order vow.

The one I've been wearing this week has decided to perform really well for a change this week, so guess it's in a good mood. ๐ Still think it's a cool watch and I'm willing to overlook the movement.

Nah, you're not moody...just fickle like the rest of us! Have to admit though, if I hear "limited edition" one more time......

Funny how this model just got itself a new thread today over on TOF.
WristSushi beat them thanks to Ian for 3+ weeks.
This is where it happens..........
