Thank you for sharing! First I have seen of these leaks. Kind of sad that there was no 6139 reissue, but then again no one expected it.

6105 is a big :winner:
Let us hope the pricing is one also.

Really like the 6105 re-isssue. I hope they make it like shown in the picture (without the ProSpex logo). Should be interesting to see how steep these are!

The pricing model will be interesting. Almost guaranteed to be towards the upper end of the scale, especially if LE.

I'd be down for the 6105 reissue at almost any price. I have a hard time wearing mine because it was my dad's and I get worried about parts being obtainable, if needed. I'd wear that reissue every day, so long as it's as comfortable as the original. I could then be a two watch guy (GMT Master and 6105 reissue). Not sure that I'd sell the rest, but I doubt I'd wear them much!

The 6105 looks great; particularly because Seiko left off that stupid 'X' logo! This watch will likely go for the kind of money we pay for the MM300.

Plenty o'buzz on the interweb over this re-issue fer sure. I think you may be right on the pricing based on what I've read thus far plus the chatter about Seiko wanting to goo upscale for the US market. Personally, I'm on the fence (not comfortable btw). I have my grungy original which I wear sparingly, so the price will be the determining factor.

rant.
I find their aiming at the high end of the market for watches like this, that have been propelled into the limelight by all the collectors and enthusiasts over the last 10 or more years who've influenced me greatly, with modding, deciphering, analysis, and genuine passion, seems to me to be a massive FU to anyone who appreciated their value for money and rather crude but beautiful designs and movements.
To be honest I find myself growing ever more bored wirh their ltd edition crap and overpriced reissues that always seem to....miss the mark slightly....Diver's 200m....Shiny looking watches that pretend more than anything.. .but people buy them..and for huge prices.
Maybe it's just me but I find this all a bit lame.
Yes...if I had 2 or 3k to blow on a watch then yeh I might buy it...but really I think I wouldn't as I'd rather have an original but for a not so stupid price...and b, because well...screw this marketing method.
I wish they would give their "true" fans something to get excited about without always aiming at the jaded Swiss watch crowd who all of a sudden stopped turning their noses up at Seiko....fickle bunch they are, I wonder at times whether Seiko are becoming a little bit dull!
/rant.

I seen the pictures for the #SLA033 - 6105-8110 reissue popping up on my FaceBook over the last few days.
Would be interesting to see what they are looking at price wise.
Has me holding back on any new purchases untill further info available.

Being an SLA series suggests the 8L35, so north of $3000-$4000 USD or where the SLA025 was priced at $5,400 USD

. OH MY! Now THAT'S a decent historical homage!! Like the ones in 2000, very representative and not so derivative like the recent 6RMAS and those weird MM models with the Monster hands. Did any one else notice what you see when you zoom in?? Do you see it? I have to say it made me laugh, because it is so true. Still don't see it? Here: Do you see it now?? - Thomas .

Guy, I agree with you 100%. I’m also sick of all the over-priced LE issues and re-issues priced like a bloody Grand Seiko. But, there’s no denying that they sell, and in big numbers. So from the corporate perspective it’s a good marketing method and business strategy. I doubt very much that Corporate Seiko give the vintage collecting community a seconds thought.

At that time I honestly didn't know what it was or what it was worth, but I liked it. My watchmaker said that he has bought it off a customer a few months before for $10. This was because the customer thought that the $80 that he was charging to service an old watch was more than the watch was worth. My watchmaker said that he'd let me have it for $100 and throw in the service. I accepted. It may not be perfect, but it's good enough for me. P.S. I failed to mention that Guy did an amazing relume.

Something tells me we're all preaching to the converted. Perhaps I'm a tad cynical too but if there's one thing this development has done is that it makes me appreciate those "microbrands" that stepped up to fill that gap so-to-speak. I am thinking especially of the late Noah Fuller who rolled out the Tsunami to scratch our 6309 itch and Jake Boudreau who grabbed the torch and introduced us to the Typhoon. Also Timefactors came out with their PRS-68 which was a great reinterpretation of the 6105 as well. I can't remember a time when concept turned over to production so rapidly and we in the WIS community are so fortunate to have so many choices. No matter which direction Seiko takes with this "re-issue", there are options!
