Hi I purchased a G757 4050 which had a fault that it goes on and off . When it arrived it was completely dead, I have fitted a new battery and still no display . Seller is being an arse as sold as spare or repair but in my eyes it should still come on as described and sellers pic show. So as it seems I'm left with a dead watch would anyone want to see if they could repair it for me .The light does work . Any help Please.

It was in excellent cosmetic condition and had the original box. I started to see some pixels go, but it wasn't too bad. Regardless, I put it up for auction with that information clearly mentioned. I was surprised to see the bidding war ensue. Doing some research after the fact, I have learned that people are replacing the capacitors (4 of them) with good results. Maybe a possibility for yours?

I have just been told I got Raynaud's and lost a few finger tips so I'm useless at the moment with small things.

That's not good news. For what it's worth, I'm terrible with small object dexterity. Back to your 757, camrok had a go at fixing his - there should be a thread about that here somewhere.

If so then I'm guessing that there is a simple fix and you will have a nice watch when it's done.
My eyes are not good enough and my hands are no longer stable enough to handle small stuff like this or I would have taken it on for you.
This reminded me that I have that same watch in a junk bag that I got over 10 years ago. If I remember correctly, only the seconds display did not work. Most likely there was a problem with the elastomer contact strip between the display and the circuit board. Going to dig it out and have a look; maybe some clues to helping whoever takes this on for you

Found it but after about 13 or 14 years my memory failed...
It's a fake G757 Didn't have a battery to try it out but I guess it doesn't matter because the innerds won't be the same as the Seiko
It was worth rummaging around in a dusty old box of junk watches just for the fun of it.
Like I said before; I feel certain that the problem is a minor one and somebody with good vision and steady hands can have this work again in no time. Hopefully one of the digital gurus will chime in.

3rd module in 4 years? These are rivaling the 0674s. Made from butterfly wings stitched with gossamer.

I saw your recent post about needing modules. What's wrong with the three modules you have? I'm the guy who posted a few guides about replacing the capacitors back in 2017 and I might be able to get them working again.

I'm not sure what is wrong with them, Pip has them at the moment and thinks there past it .He has sourced a new one which is going to be fitted but to get another going would be great.
