Final result and the 7a38 is -9sec, within spec (10spm). 9940 is +10, far away from the impressive 10spy it had back in 1978. Might be time for a battery change. Anyway, I have enjoyed wearing them and seeing a lot of cool quartz in this thread!

acidstain am I correct in interpreting your result as no deviation on your 7c43? If so GuyJ you may have a few incoming. I know I have one that’s destined for your workshop when you have time. It does seem that way. Just to be clear, i did only wear it enough for the challenge. So when i go for my Sunday errands, i wear the 7c43 for a few hours, then take it off once at home. Not sure how much effect minimal wearing is to accuracy. I also think there should be a little bit more variance there. I did start with a different time server, and if i recall i started trying to take a picture when the “server ticks”. Towards the end i realize i like clock.zone more due to the partial seconds, and i realize it’s better to take a picture when the “watch ticks”. Overall, even with the small variances, accuracy seems to be within a second (or less). I’ll keep posting weekly updates for the 7c43 and see how it goes for another month. I think it’s a triumph that a 20-30 year old watch has kept such accuracy. Well done and I’m glad to hear you are planing on continuing to track it. I challenge every one with a sub 2-3 sec per month watch to continue to track it until next daylight savings change.

Citizen 8600 LED is Plus 1 second - I've worn it for most of the last month. Not a bad result for a 44 year old:

Final check. I was 1.8s behind at the start 6.5s behind now, for a net of 4.7 slow over 4 weeks. Not a winner I imagine, but I'm very happy with it.

Surprisingly +8 seconds that's over a minute and a half a year. Would have expected better from a modern 7C46C that comes with a 10 year battery life. I suppose it could be trimmed to do better but considering the tear down required to get to it, that ain't happening.
Now I can advance the date after April only had 30 days. I was way to afraid too uncork the crown for fear I'd mess up and stop the movement !
Thanks Cam for running this entertaining thread !

Mine was also +8 during the month. Though i do not know if mine had the 10 year (most likely not) model/battery.

Great Job guys and some excellent results here... Still I find it really funny how miffed some guys get about it being out by a few secs and if they should be regulated.. But I get it if it's quartz and runs for years on one battery it's nice to pick it up and be sure it's still on time... Here is me with my g-shock for work... 8 years on the wrist and about 8 mins fast now

I’m considering regulating mine to fall within 20 sec/yr currently at 2min/yr

I’m considering regulating mine to fall within 20 sec/yr currently at 2min/yr I always consider a watch that is say 1min per year as actually 30 seconds per half year- I correct it when the clocks go back and forward. Some because I need to and others as I can’t remember how to do the automatic jump forwards or backwards thing!
