I apologize if I caused anyone any amount of stress.[/quote]
I know I'm stressed out as hell! I didn't even read this whole thread yet, but I'm freaking out man! Granted it has nothing to do with the forum, but I'll happily blame you for my stress Pete!
Apology not accepted!
Good day sir!

Ok, I have had the same problems on three independent pieces of hardware. So it is not likely a hardware problem. I tried using Chrome and Safari instead of Firefox. Low and behold, they work quite well. Time to switch browsers. I don't like Edge or Safari for that matter. Anyone using another browser that they like and have not problems with? I apologize if I caused anyone any amount of stress. Possibly not FF per say but add on security? I use No Script and Ghostery and the combination sometimes conspire to really screw with website function.

All I did was ask(loudly) to have the shout box moved so that members don't accidentally trip and fall into it. All the issues I mentioned only happened after that. Coincidence; maybe. I only responded to this thread because it was condescending. So please don't be putting this on me...that's the kind of shit that tRump does!

Since I am doing this for a living (well, part of my job is doing things like this...):
JavaScript: Think of it as the fairies that make all the wonderful functions (like the shoutbox) on this website work.
ProBoards is a particularly JavaScript-heavy website. Browsers like to cache JavaScript. While developers use mechanisms to secure that browsers load the most current version of the site JavaScript, sometimes this fails. When JavaScript runs into an error, it breaks things. This applies to all of the functions that were in the same JavaScript class/file. So my guess is that the JavaScript failed silently, and things stopped working.

You ever stop to think that maybe its Trump that is messing with your WS experience Pete? I mean ever since Trudeau yelled angrily at Trump for assuming his gender identity was male Trump has had it out for Canadians. Its something to think about buddy.
