A week ago my grill started to play up. It would randomly refuse to respect my choice of power selection and merely go full power. Yesterday it failed completely. Removed the two elements and found this..... They went from working perfectly to warped blown apart in a week  Still, only £9 each instead of £29 that Creda wanted. Wanted to replace the clock/timer also but guess how much they wanted? ?? £117 Yep, that's right.... ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN QUID

Awesome looking grills Louis  Look very professional! Unfortunately as Pip said, over in UK they would not get much use. Although last year we had two straight months of unseasonably good weather. My one was just a couple that are built in to the cooker in the kitchen. Usually used to grill bacon, toast bread or make a ham & cheese toast. That's about it

Although last year we had two straight months of unseasonably good weather. My one was just a couple that are built in to the cooker in the kitchen. Usually used to grill bacon, toast bread or make a ham & cheese toast. That's about it I made a few Mini Size Grills for a Couple Friends Here similar to those .... Patio Grills everyone buys built as a... One Man Carry Mini Size Form and they are also Portable to use. Made them Square Bottom and Concave hinged Tops. They use them when they go to the Sports Activities here at the ....Famous Aloha Stadium like for the ....Aloha Foot Ball Bowl Games. The Stadium Has Two Massive Parking Lots and one across the street and they do their .... Tail Gate Things there and they hook up ... Big Wide Screens too. Here we do a ... Whole Hog / Half Hog or even ..... Half A Cow stretched out at a time. Here we never do a Party with just one Family, we invite many People also to enjoy it along with who makes it. This what we call ..... " INA .... Family ". At night it looks like a huge .... Drive Inn Screen so everyone can sit and watch it. Guy here bought one second hand so he use's there. Price is ....$5.00 to park as many as a car can hold and extra $2.00 for the ... Screen Viewing, can't loose like that. He gives a ... Big Extra Chunk of the Proceeds to Charity Organizations.

If I recall it was an early 80's Pontiac Grand Prix.
As to the "roof" it is referred to as a Landau top.
It has to do with the old days of horse drawn buggies and carriages.
Some were four door and fully enclosed (like a 4 door car), some were one bench seat with a sunshade (like a 2 door car) and the "padded top" simulates the "shade" of the buggy or carriage.
In the 70's and into the 80's having a partial or fully padded covered in vinyl roof were factory options and still to this day in the hood you can get a cloth roof added aftermarket (usually on hood favorites like Cadillac's, Lincolns, Buicks, and Chrysler 300's)

I had this EXACT car. 1983 Buick Park Avenue Electra. My grandfather leased it and my dad bought it when it was turned in. A total cream puff with blue velour interior. When I was 17 I drove it as my first car. My dad would take the train to work so I dropped him off at the station in the morning. I kept it washed and waxed and used to slather Armor All on the landau top to keep it shiny. Then, my brother needed a car for college. He got this one and proceeded to TRASH it. He drove it drunk into a telephone poll. It lasted 4 years of college and limped it's way to the junkyard. What I babied and loved, he destroyed without a care in the world. I always wanted to keep it as it was mint.
Not my car, but exactly what I had.

Caprice. Impala. LeSabre. Park Ave. Sedan De'Ville. Delta 88. 98.
Classic boxes.
I've been there, done that, suffered through it and moved on and the old me had a relevant story involving the hood phukers next door at 3 AM playing PE (but since we lived in da hood it was just native), 2 Delta 88's, and my grandfathers 98 that was stolen twice from my mother.
I'm sure I've shared the story 3 Degrees at some point in the last 6 years but I am now done.
98 with the trunk of funk.

Caprice. Impala. LeSabre. Park Ave. Sedan De'Ville. Delta 88. 98.
Classic boxes. My neighbor 3 doors down had an early 80's Seville, two tone, with the wired rim spare tire on the trunk. It was dark blue and gray with blue interior LOADED with every futuristic option. The car was total bad ass. He even had the curb feelers on it. He kept his car in mint shape. The phuking thing was stolen out of the garage never to be recovered. He was devastated. A total shame. It was one of the coolest cars I liked growing up.
To this day, I still like looking through eBay Motors at this car.
He also had a mid 70's Camaro, total stock, silver with red vinyl interior, factory mag wheels and white wall tires...unmolested cream puff. That car was also mint. That was his daily driver. He worked at the docks at Port Newark in NJ and would drive by my house every morning at the crack of dawn. He always drove very slowly and I loved the big puff of white exhaust from the dual tail pipes when he gently accelerated around the corner during the cold weather. He later sold it before I had hair on my nuts and working any semblance of a job to buy it.
