Aloha Yesterday Afternoon I went out to get some Chinese Take Out at my Friends Place. His place is just across the Thrift Shop I always go to. I ordered every thing I wanted and went across the street to the shop. The Girl I know there was just about to leave and saw me and she tells me...... " Uncle There is some Military Rings in the case with no price yet. Mean while the Boss passed by and she asked her how much is the Price for those Rings. The Women tells her ....They are only junk , tell him if he wants them give you .....$2.00 Dollars for both of them. I proceeded to ask the Women if she was ...... A American Citizens and told her ....the Items represent the Best of Our Country and what they stand for. She then tells me ..... Every one collects junk and looks like you do too. Then She asks me .... Why are you one of those Veterans Then I said I am a ....... " Yes Mam United States Navy Veteran ". The she looks at me and walks away, then the Girl looks and me and said she is always nasty like that. The Girl tells me .... Wow they found those in a Jack Pocket and just threw them in the case. Now she looks at me and says.... Well Uncle you woe me ....$2.00 Dollars for them and laughs. I give her the Money and like always I give her ....$5.00 Bucks tip for her out side the shop. She also put each one in a nice Box that she said so they do not get damaged. Now this is what I got for ..... $2.00 Dollars U.S. . Aloha and thanks for looking Louis A United States Army Air Force Ring and Dated 1945 ........ very old and Sterling Silver too.I would say. ___________________________________________________________________________ United States Marine Corp Sterling Silver

Great find Louis! Thats why I love thrift stores. You won't always find something worthwhile on every visit, but if you're persistent something always comes along.

Great score Louis! I have to wonder what jacket she found them in...may have been vintage WWII as well Thanks for rescuing these gems; they should never be tossed out as 'junk'. They have an honourable history just like you sir!

Aloha , Pete , Both the Marine and Army Air Force Ring: Oh forgot to mention Pete the Girl said it was in a ....Old Khaki Type Military Jacket in a " Small Zip Lock Bag " , that was tossed out because it had so many Faded Spots on it and white Paint. The Army Air Force Ring has ..... Initials .... LD [Sterling] ..... on it. I was thing maybe Donate to the " Army Air Force Museum " at Pearl Harbor " ... here I might find out about it later on.
