Ha-ha-ha-ha... It seems I went a little CRAZY this weekend!*
(* really just the morning of Sunday 19-May-2019)
No behavior that was too outlandish, but four "obtainments" that were all based on a few of my watch obsessions.

Odd, Outrageous, Obstinate, Obsessed Outlay #1
If you have been paying any attention, you have seen me buy multiple 1969 Seiko Sportsman 6602-998x in sliver and black, that have rectangular hour markers and very 62MAS-style hands.
With this purchase, I must have at least 6 of the black ones!!
Hey, they're cool and everything, but why, why, why?
Well, when I see a watch this cool, that I can buy for US$70, I'm not going to pass it by. They may end up with my inheritor, or "I can always sell one!!"
******************************************
Odd, Outrageous, Obstinate, Obsessed Outlay #2
Okay, the low cost of #1 may have given me a pass, but this obsessive outlay was NOT cheap!!
But I just love the quirky old-fashioned "diver" style dial on this 1970's hand-wind, from the same family of watches that produced the 1970 5000-7000 Mickey Mouse watches (that I also love).
Isn't there some very expensive Oris watch or something, that has a similar dial?

Odd, Outrageous, Obstinate, Obsessed Outlay #3
Switching obsessions; I bought a white, "linen"-dialed Seiko Lord Matic one day, on its original bracelet, and found out it was part of a very small family, the family known as 5216-8020.
I have a white-linen and a brown-linen dial on their original bracelet, of the 5216-8020 family, and I have "heard" there may be a blue-linen version, but I have never seen one. :bs:
One of the things that attracted me to this small family is that they come on a unique bracelet that I have not seen used with any other models.
But I am short 1 or maybe 2 links to have two full-length (for me) bracelets. So, to wear the two colors I have, I have to swap the bracelet.
So seeing the long bracelet on this example, I became *determined* to buy it. I'm hoping I'll be able to use just a link or two out of this bracelet, and end up with three wearable bracelets. (Why would I need three?)

Odd, Outrageous, Obstinate, Obsessed Outlay #4
Okay, so I am searching Yahoo! Japan for "Seiko 5216-8020" to find watches like the one above, right?
But this weekend that search also turned up this 1976 example, with what looks like a smooth white dial!?!?
I have never seen a 5216-8020 before that wasn't one of the two linen dials!!
The back has been "personalized" for some event, perhaps that has something to do with the unexpected dial?
In any case, I decided I had to have this watch in my collection. :imok: I'll investigate later why there is a '76 5216-8020 with a smooth white dial! (And this would also be what I do with the third bracelet!! )

Okay, that was my Outbreak of Odd, Outrageous, Obstinate, Obsessed Outlays for this last weekend.
I hope it was a fun post to read!
