Trying to stock up on spares, I saw some 7009 movements listed from an India seller, for $.99+$10 s&h, good feedback nice photos, etc. I like the idea that he isn't placing more watches through the usual pateling. Seeing he has sold numerous movements for $.99 I messaged asking if he was willing to sell in quantity to combine shipping say for 10 movements...He came back with yes he could sell them for $12 ea. and combine shipping for 10??? I responded I though it a bit high since whole watches are routinely sold out of India for that and you generally get a new strap too...
After seeing his listing again, looking at his feedback, I started counting how many movements he's sold for $.99. After a few pages, I was up to 30 movements. Not all were 7009's or even Seiko's, I didn't count those that came in under $5 or I'd have gotten to 30 much faster. Today I approached the seller; this time with an offer of $5 ea for 10. He said he'd go as low as $10.99 each but would not be able to combine shipping...each would be sent individually...That's like me bidding and winning his $.99 auction?
I'm at a loss, I though I was being fair based on what he is routinely selling these for am I off here???
How have other negotiated? Am I missing something here???

He's making money off the shipping charge, not the movements

Hi. I have doubts that the movements ever saw a Seiko facility. Cheers Phil
