Unless you plan on getting dirty with the innards of the watch plus hunting for parts, I'd suggest getting/waiting for a better example.
There's always one around the corner. Not good if you've already bought one you regret about.

If this is not the cheapest Pogue you'll ever find (aka: "$100 and it's yours") - keep looking for a better one.

That one is a mess. Hope you didn't make a "rookie mistake" buying that watch (like we here have ALL done before).

Rookie question, is it really worth nothing? I mean theres still case, dial, movement(ok maybe butchered yes)but i mean all together it must be worth something considering they dont make the bits anymore or not?

Oh, as a parts watch it certainly has value. The dial may be real but is in bad shape. It looks like it was re-lumed with toothpaste. The hands are wrong, and have been repainted. The case has been refinished (poorly), etc, etc, etc. And I am sure the movement is clapped-out as well.
It is just a very typical cobbled-together watch we here typically refer to as a "Franken-seiko". One watch built from the corpses of other various dead watches. This is what that watch should look like.

The "Pogue" style 6139-6002/6005 is very common and easily obtainable, except maybe the silver dial variety. So I would look for the best condition one in your budget. That one has a crappy bezel, the wrong colored hands and lumed with mint chocolate chip ice cream.
That 6139-6000 dial is a bit rarer, but also obtainable. It goes for more than the 6139-6002/6005. You want to make sure it's with the correct notched case and properly 6139-6000 numbered case back. I have one being serviced as we speak.
In the beginning you can be eager to pull the trigger. Wait. Trust me. One will come along that checks all the condition requirements.
Here is mine in the condition I received it which is currently in service right now. Click on the images to see.

Don't think the bracelet is an original Seiko one, but the watch looks much better. If the lume rot annoys you, you can send it off to our resident dial wizard GuyJ who will take care of it for you.

Here is one in very nice shape that comes with the bracelet. It's negotiable and listed as recently serviced. Appears to be genuine. You can take a closer look. In my opinion you should not pay more than $500.
