Hi all, in my quest for a set to go with my SLQ007 I purchased this 7T32 6N00. Sellers pic shown alarm hands on so one dropped off in transit. It was listed as needing a new battery .In one goes but the chronograph hand does not move or reset. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I will start by assuming you tried the AC (All Clear) reset with the tweezers to top of battery?
See the 7T32 manual about how to reset the hands to "All zero reset position" with the A and B buttons.

Hi, yes I have tried A+B buttons and shorted out but no difference . Yes that is exactly what I figured. That is all I can offer.
Suggest you grab a cheapie Pulsar or Lorus with a Y182 working movement (same thing really) rather than spend hours working on a dead 7T32.
Seiko USA has no 7T32 movements in stock not sure if they are obsoleted or not.
New 7T34 movements, if they are a direct swap into a 7T32 or not I have no idea, would run you over $70 delivered.

I think all the 7T3x movements were canned ages ago, so the only option for a newbie would be ebay, or pull a known good movement from another watch. Hi, yes I have tried A+B buttons and shorted out but no difference . Yes that is exactly what I figured. That is all I can offer.

If you can't move the hand via the resetting/zeroing procedure (I think it's crown to second click and then the top left button?), it will need service unfortunately, or a replacement movement. These things can be serviced and respond well but are usually not worth it. I'd be charging the same as a 6139 as they take that long. Find a roached goldtone 7T32 for a few bucks that runs. Swap the movement. Have a beer.

If the model is with it, I send mine to George to service/repair otherwise I source a rough looking pulsar with a y182 heart and swap it out. I also swap the top plate so it still says Seiko 7t32.
