It's been posted that the last 6139 Pogue was an April 1979 6139-6002, but the latest I have seen proof of is a March 1979 and I have a non-runner to prove that they do exist. But I also discovered there are some 6139-6013 examples dated from April 1979. Here is mine, a great runner but a bit on the gone-wabi side as you can see. It seems mostly all of these -6013s have similar aging issues, so it's honest on its original bracelet so that's a positive. What I have found is the reference 6139-6013 was primarily made in only four months: December 1977, May 1978 and then the final 2 months of the Seiko 6139 movement run, March and April 1979. Well. until someone finds a May 1979 model (kind of like how the January 1969 6139-6010s of which we know of 2 examples that pre-date the previously supposed February 1969 start date for the 6139, although for a Pogue 6139-6000 that does seem to have been the case) I am thinking this really one of the last 6139s ever produced - 947XXX. This one needed a properly faded to orange red sweep hand so I used an early '2-piece' hand and with the absolutley perfect zero upon reset I am leaving well enough alone - quite the irony, an early version sweep hand on the last month ever produced ! International Pogue day is a week from today. All 6139s from here on out for this WIS..... Back of dial shot:

7625-8031, August ‘67! A bit of a strange one this. It’s in dire need of servicing if the timegrapher trace is anything to go by, yet keeps excellent time 🤔

That’s a special piece, and great info in your narrative, thank you!

Only a week to go so another dry run! Actually off to a wedding in a moment so one can only hope that someone says, “Nice Pogue!” at some point. Even better if it’s Kylie Minogue after she turns up as a surprise guest. And there’s probably about the same chance of that happening.

From April of 1996 7002-7020, you just don't see many of these around anymore.

Came in this week, and that's game over for the v736's. Good looking dial on this one.

Back to the C300. It crowds to the front of the line. I sometimes have to get firm with it to wear something else.

Late to the party today. Busy putting the final touches on my new aquarium to raise cherry shrimp 😆 Original cocktail time with 6R15. Beautiful faint powder blue dial with awesome texture and depth. It’s on a mesh straight link. The original strap is worse looking material than my senior prom tuxedo rental shoes. Takes on a purple-like color under fluorescent lighting compared to sunlight above.

From April of 1996 7002-7020, you just don't see many of these around anymore. I have one of those, but I had it modded. It's from July of 96. It has the wrong hands, and sometimes the wrong bezel. I had the 7S26-7020, too. That was also known as the SKX171. See very few of those, too.

Aloha Well since the Sea Horses are out today. I was looking in my .... Old Watch Box here and saw this one so will use it for about 2 - hours. I got this from a ... Swap Meet friend about .... 5 years ago but never wear it because of it being so small. I have never worked on it or serviced it, it just sits in the box. Might work on it soon and get it done and change the crystal also. Watch Fires Up ...... when on first shake and it also needs a new ... Rotor Weight ( Rusted a Little ). Louis Seiko 7625-8031 Ser. No. 1000291 ( Watch Dater say ....1970 ) ( I really like this little guy too )
