What a joy it is to have a watch serviced and knowing you can wear it with peace of mind. I’ve had this 6139-6000 for over a year and never really wore it much because it was in need of service. I finally bit the bullet and am lucky enough to have an excellent watchmaker in Ashton Tracy just hours away. And the relume he did is fantastic!! This thread is just a “Thank You!” to all the folks on this forum that service these vintage Seiko’s and keep them going!! I’ve gone through so many hacks that call themselves watchmakers that have ruined watches. It’s good to have forum members on here that know what they are doing!! Cheers everyone!! P.S. You can kind of see the rotten lume in the first photo

Beautiful re-lume job. I totally agree, it's a wonderful feeling wearing a vintage watch that has been serviced by a competent watchmaker. Takes the worry out of wearing them. :-)
