Sir Alan did a complete service and repair on this pretty new looking 7a38-7280... I don't often miss a watch once it has left the nest but this one has been poking at me ever since I sent it off to Simon for spares. Fortunately it was still sitting in his spares box(untouched) so I asked him to give it the treatment and this is what came back! Thanks for the great job Simon!

The For Sale post discusses the mechanical issues that needed sorting. I just didn't want to put more money into it.
I have a lot of watches already.

Hey! I resemble that today sort of. Copy cat
Looks great, beautiful example. I love these dials. Mine needs a little sorting with the chrono features but it ticks and keeps time.

Both of yours are gorgeous. Makes me wish I had spent the money to repair mine.
Sort of. I have a lot of watches.

I'm typically not into two-tone, but that is one fine looking watch. Congrats on getting it back!

Aloha I am not into Gold but these looks Fabulous and very Outstanding. Louis The first Seiko I remember owning... is similarly decorated and I wore it from 1988 until 2005 when I discovered watches. Kind of got used to the two tone. Not a fan oy all gold tone though
