I bought some beautiful dark tan coloured kangaroo leather last week and knocked up a new strap for this little Roamer. Despite its modest 34mm size I really enjoy this watch. The leather darkened up a bit when I applied a wax finish and it sets off the dial nicely.

Gone with the night monster on a rubber strap today. Not worn it in a while, not really sure why as it's a nice watch ETA: Nice work with the strap

I wanted something colourful on another grey day, so why not go with the Pogue?

So that's not a blue sky then, Pip? For me it's a bit of blue:

So that's not a blue sky then, Pip? The sky is always blue when I have my Pogue on Jonas...

Dreary day in Kings Cross. Nice watch for a nice location though. Drake and Morgan is one of my favourite lunch spots. And the station is beautiful these days. It’s all a bit different to ten or so years ago when the whole area was brasses and pushers.

Insomnia(again) last night, so had a look at the 6001, to see why the sweep hand was stopping at 10 to the hour... turns out it was a super thin fibre that had wound itself tightly around the base of the hand. I must have missed it when I fitted the temporary inner rotating bezel(correct one arriving in January) in time for International Pogue Day( I am quite enjoying the slightly longer minute markers on this temporary inner bezel tho’. Gives the blue dial a more modern feel Imho). Looking forward to fitting the correct one though! The tension on the hand has caused it to slip just slightly, so the sub dial hand clicks over at about 4 seconds before the sweep hits 12. I can live with that until the new part comes, then I’ll re-align it when the crystal is off in January.
