I picked up some natural (un-dyed) kangaroo hide offcuts last week and knocked up a new strap for my GS. I chose a navy dye to set off the gold case and it works well. It's a bit lighter than it photographs.

1978 Suwa Turtle 6309 7040 on a new uncle seiko GL831 accordion rubber strap. I've had a few in comings since i introduced myself with my sotc last month. Including this old turtle which is original with the suwa dial, original bezel insert and the case unpolished. Crown screws down well and its running fine. I've had it about a month now and treated it to one of the original style gl831's of uncle seiko and its a very comfy strap.

"SportsMatic" J13045 from early to mid 1960's. I got her for the patina dial a few years back. Wore it on various black leather straps never really favored it. This year trying to rediscover old gems. Popped it on a vintage OEM braceletbut not correct to this model. Love it. The perfect blue "30" in WATER30PROOF" is the key.

That said your gold GS would look beautiful on a shoe lace or even duct tape. What a dial.
