Well, what can I say? I freely admit it - I’m weak, especially when it comes to SEIKO. I had a bit of time between meetings yesterday so headed to Stratford Westfield to see what dregs might be left in the festive sales, expecting to find nothing at all. But, one of the high street jewellers there had (finally) began stocking more than the usual array of quartz and kinetic SEIKO watches, now proudly displaying the PROSPEX and Presage ranges. And they even had a few pieces marked down, including an extra 10% off the reduced price. So, being the weak-willed man that I am, I succumbed. Twice. Well, with an average saving of over 45%, what else was I supposed to do? Walk away? đŸ¤” So, here’s one of my two purchases - the SRPD09K1 ‘Save The Ocean’ special edition Samurai.

Tasmania normally has some of the cleanest air in the world, but today the smoke from the NSW and Victorian bush fires has made its way south across Bass Strait. There's a mountain up there somewhere...

Back to work with a shiny winter day. Perfect to appreciate reflections on metallic green dial of my lastest catch : Seiko Vanac 5626-7210 from 1974. This dial directly enters my top3!

I was reading about the long term effects of breathing the air in Australia. And the death of 500 million animals and counting.
What a tragedy. Life is certainly not benign. Bless those guys that storm into the fires to fight it.
