I picked up a replacement (maybe even unused) Bellmatic dial earlier this week for very little, without realising that it was the same dial code as this one. Now I’m faced with a dilemma - do I keep this one, with its funky patina, or swap in the new one? I’ll be honest - I’m torn. I prefer my watches to look ‘decent’ but this one has really grown on me, and I’m unsure if I’d feel the same way if it had a shiny new silver dial under the crystal... 4006-7002, March ‘72 Well it’s a great excuse to look for another Bellmatic to use it in Nick!

I’ve actually got three non-runners in my stash Phil, two of which are integrated bracelet case variants (sans bracelet...). The other one is a UFO shaped case and the movement may be a bit of a mutt, but then might be a 27 jewel one. It has a 27J rotor but a 17J AM dial and is actually what I bought the other dial for. I haven’t had the gumption to break into it yet...

Enjoying my World Time today. The sunburst finishing on the case is not original, but looks cool!

Morning WS’ers! This one again as still in the testing phase (and I love it!). But maybe it should be this one? Happy Birthday Commander Pogue. Today you would have been 90. Nice catch on Sir William Pogues birthday. Figures the creator of IPD would make the connection ! Maybe I should wear my "look-alike mod" !

Bit of a late post, but this guy looks especially good when it's a little dark out.

It arrived today and beyond all hope for a donor dial and hands, a fresh battery fired it right up...
I was elated that it was spotless inside with no signs of battery leaks or any other damage. But I was disappointed because I bought this for the dial and hands to be part of a mod I wanted to do.
With the fresh battery and a quick buff of the crystal; there is no way I'm going to destroy this beautiful little piece of history. As noted, the movement(Y142) and a nearly perfect case with new leather strap was actually a steal at $16 USD.
With eBay, sometimes we're lucky and sometimes we are still lucky

Late for today and could have just posted in 1/24 since they're still on our wrist, but then you all tell me the dates are off...Daughter finally gave up the Casio my coworker bought me. She thought I'd gotten it for her when she saw it on the kitchen table. Funny Bought the Baby G on Amazon, they gave us tracking so we knew it would arrive ahead of her birthday. With a snow storm it got pushed out a few days, then the order was canceled saying the item was no longer available. Checked Amazon website said they still had stock? I ordered again and boom showed up three days later...
