Eventually managed to get this 8222-7000 back in working order after picking up a working 8223 cheap and swapping out the circuit block and coil. I couldn’t let that beautiful midnight blue dial go to waste!

I've spent the last few days restoring my most recent purchase, an Aussie 'Pogue' from 1972. The listing pictures showed enough to see a watch with promise : fairly bad lume rot, but the dial looked very good as did the inner rotating ring. A nice bezel, pushers and case and a very nice looking bracelet, missing one end link. It had the full treatment, starting with a full relume jewelled barrel arbor bushes (both badly worn) and a few parts to get it back to full order, but it was worth the effort because its running really nicely and looking good on the wrist

Fantastic work, great save. Love the bracelet too.

Aloha Saturday, Missed the posting yesterday because we went on a very early..... 3:00 a.m. Night Dive for some ..... Ocean Bottom Delicacy's ...... that are not to much available during the day time. We are going to prepare what we got for .... 18 Elders here that are combining all their birthdays together. We are having a Birthday Party to celebrate them because they are all over .... 80 years in age and still strong as ever daily. Friend is loaning me his ... Party House Facility ... for doing this. My Friends are doing all the Local Music for them for entertainment. Oh, and yes we have a Big Beautiful .... 300 Pound Tuna and some other Fish that my Fisherman Friend caught last night and gave me early this morning to prepare. Aloha Louis Today is a Grab and Go.
