So, been away sorting a few things, but should be back now thunbsup.gif
First Tag. 1000 pro (Coral) this was the ebay listing:-
""TAG Heuer 1000: Unrivaled experience"
This is a stunning TAG Heuer 1000 diver watch, model no.: 980029N, Submariner style which is in fantastic condition.
It has been cleaned, serviced and restored, completely build back up from the ground.
Only wear marks on the bezel (edge), case (PVD coating), the caseback-plate (scratches) and the crown (slightly worn),see also the pictures and the video.
Many modifications: new 4 mm mineral crystal, new black Clark bezel insert, new gold toned dial hands, new eta 955.112 movement and comes on a military green nato band with black pvd ironware.
It is fully water resistant (tested at 3 bar) and comes in a TAG Heuer Service box."
So asked a few questions & to my surprise the guy sent me his 'phone number & said call anytime. So I did. We chatted, he seamed Genuine (but I've been wrong before, lol) so I bid & brought! Good times!
Heres a few pic's (please note the first, second & last are mine. The others are the sellers):-
Beleive me its even better in the flesh. Okay, theres some Wabi (can a non Japanese watch have Wabi?)but its all Genuine & the sign of a well used & loved watch IMHO.
I think I'm going to give it to my son Jordan. He's very much a "Tag-guy" & this one would probably fit in well with a soldier's lifestyle. Understated, and at 38mm maybe a little less vonerable then the two 42mm Tag F1's hes killed before (maybe a bit better made too? Any comments on that?). The answer for him would be a G Shock but he's just not keen on them.
Took it diving the other day for a bimble round a local lake dive-site. Down to 21 meters, no drama's at all. Also seams to wear larger then the 38mm would make you think.
So, nice watch, No, a great watch. Found a great ebay seller and back on the boards. My week got better!
Have a great day troops
