My 4520-8000 has come back from repair and service. I got this at a very good price as it would not wind properly (new click needed) and it has a faint shadow on the dial (presumably where the hands may have been parked for an extended period). I think it looks great.

Very nice, rossr and pip. Late last night I spotted a potentially interesting watch in a gumtree listing. Unusually, it was actually in my city. I shot the seller a message and went to bed. This morning she responded and gave me her dad's number to call. By 7.50 am I was off to meet him at his regular coffee shop. I've been doing a few pocket watches lately, so the one in the lot will get a service in time, but I think you can guess which was the pick of the lot: 7A48-7010 from 1983. Nice condition with plenty of room to spare on the bracelet and fully functional with a new battery.

Back to the cold weather after an extended work trip/vacation in Vietnam. Let's just say that "blue" perfectly epitomizes my mood today.

This one landed last week but I had to wait for the right battery hatch tool to arrive before I could find out if I had a runner. Good news: May '74 3863-7020 QR

Hi guys, Being very busy, elderly parents, insane brothers, cleaning house, and helping run a "guild" in the online game "World of Warcraft: Classic", so I don't post much, but I am here reading every day. I was picking up some random junk yesterday and this nice old hand-wind Grand Seiko was revealed underneath! I figured this was a omen, so I took of my SARX55 I've been wearing very day and started to wear this instead! - Thomas

The key is you are BACK and better than ever rocking a GS !
When you unearth a forgotten Grand Seiko among all your 'stuff' you know you are a true collector ! Like the phone call I got from watch repair guy about a watch he had for over a year to say it was ready, I had forgotten I owned it.
That GS is elegant with its perfection in simplification while exuding luxury.
