I got an Accutron auto chrono with a 7750 from the jewelry department when I worked at Sears back in 2005 for $500. The department manager didn't like me because I would have them special order me non stocked Seikos and Citizens because I had the secret part number and would buy them for 60% off using employee discount, Sears card coupon, and once a years friends and family additional discount night. We sold Bulova so I asked if they could order me a certain Accutron. The first one came and the center second hand would not reset to 12 (it reset to 3) so I have no idea how that one left the factory. The replacement is missing some printing on the minute track but I had to eat it so as not to ruffle any more feathers. The thing I don't like about the 7750 is the rotor only winds in one direction and if you fling the watch in the opposite direction he rotor will spin for like 10 revolutions and when on the wrist you can feel it.

Remember that not all Valjoux 7750's are created equal. Some have no day or date complications. Others have the date at 3 o'clock, some at 4:30, and others still have the day and date at 3 o'clock.
The level of detail/finish varies greatly by the intended end watch, and whether or not an exhibition back was planned. Some have all sorts of fine finish, cotes de geneve, blued screws, mirror polish parts, etc.
Finally, I've read where ETA now makes the Valjoux 7750 to several degrees of accuracy, much like their 5 levels of ETA numbered calibers. The $5K watches with V7750's apparently are within COSC though not certified, and the lower class like the Invicta models much less accurate but still quite decent.
