Well, do I? Anyone on here got one? Anyone got an informed opinion? Anyone got an uninformed opinion for that mater? I'm toying with flipping a few of my Seiko's & getting one. Help a brother out & talk to me,
Cheers, Dad.

I really like the look of them, but I think I've heard something about them actually being made in China?

If you mean the iconic orange dialed Doxa diver then yes buddy I want one. If my happy humping smilie worked here I would post him. I actually have a beat up orange Doxa sitting in my safe. It's not running , which is an easy enough fix, but the whole bezel is missing. It's damn near impossible to find. I contacted Doxa , but they told me "good luck finding one".

Well, they started out in Switzerland in 1886. But it gets quite convoluted after that. Some have an ETA 28242 movement I think. Jacques Cousteau had one which is cool. Dirk Pitt wears one in all his Adventures which I am sad to say I love the idea of. But hey, plenty love the James Bond link to the Milsub/Seamaster so hay-ho on that one. Interestingly, Clive Cussler who writes the Dirk Pitt novels is an accomplished diver & has discovered literally 100's wrecks of historic interest.

@ Chris, yes the Diver mate. Man a dead one with no bezel would frustrate the hell outa me!!
@ Tim, Oh yes pretty indeed! Believe me, you pitch up on a Dive boat one of those on your wrist & you'll have a queue of dude's wanting to be your dive buddy, lolol!
One interesting fact is. Though the Dive watches are 43 mm across the case. The dial is only 27mm across so it wears fairly small on the wrist.

Very cool watches. IIRC it was a dead brand and resurrected similar to what happened with Isofrane. Their website should have all the details.
Sizes vary. Their classic diver comes in different materials case sizes and depth ratings, some with power reserve indicator and some with GMT hand.
If I wasn't so attached to Seiko i'd have one. I saw one on someone's wrist last year in Mauii and was so distracted my fiancée got pissed because I kept looking over there!
If ya take the plunge, go orange!

Are Doxa Chinese brand? Yes; the Chun King Tuna factory has been churning them out for decades. They were first made famous by Clive Cussler's character Dirk Pitt. Cussler obviously got a lot of money for the product endorsement

Agree the orange dial and BoR bracelet are the way to go. It's iconic. Here's my DOXA, one of the few COSC certified Subs: And a lume shot:

You know what...I don't think I'd like it as much, if it weren't on a BoR bracelet. That just really seals the deal for me, LOVE the BoR.

There is a limited edition blue face NUMA Doxa...I would pick it up in a heartbeat. Rob.
