Anyone have any experience or opinion of Oris?
I'm totally unfamiliar with the Swiss world, but I like the looks of the divers -- TT1 and Aquis -- and seem to be reasonably priced second hand.

I personally don't have any , but I've worked on plenty of them. Fantastic and well made. I've always been impressed when I get one in my hands.

I love my Oris but I wish I bought the midsize when I bought it. Not a diver, but it is an Oris. Bought it new in 1996. Not the best photo

I've decided, after much research and perving, that no matter how much I love the dials, hands, bezels etc, I couldn't live with the lug setup . . . just never gonna do it for me.

I have an older one from the 40s... It just needs a crystal and maybe a sweep hand.

I don't like the Oris TT1 Versions at all because the majority of them have a proprietary rubber strap, bracelet so if it breaks or you want to change shoes on the watch your well and truly stuffed.
Cheers Mark

Cheers Mark Well you can just buy another from Oris right? to be honest, even with regular lugs, there's been very very few aftermarket straps I've liked the look any better than the original manufacturer strap.

I like Oris too and wouldn't mind getting something like these models from their BC4 line...
