It's a beaut..had my eye on it for about a year now, there have been some water resistance issues, discussed on other forums, but ,unlike the Smiths Everest crystal ,have been handled fairly well.

Actually gents, there is another Helson I find stunning and I suspect it's not the Turtle . . . I shall research the matter further and have my people get back to your people and we can do lunch . . . Chris, you can wear your equine head and bring that charming young filly along too. Victory . . . it's one of these, called the 'Tortuga', which I believe is Pacific Islander term for 'drowning', but nonetheless, I dig it, especially at sub 700 clams. yes1.gif

I personally like it cause of the "seiko-ish" styling...

That's an amazing watch. I'd buy one like yesterday if it were possible. What a watch.

Is Helson one of those put your name on the dial brands like all of the "500M" Seiko quartz movement Tuna knock off brands that were floating around a few years ago?

I love those divers a lot! Case, bezel, and dials and hands combinations are irresistible!
Thank you for sharing.

I recently picked up a Helson Turtle in terrific condition. I was a little afraid of the specs, being too large, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wears a LOT smaller than it appears on paper. It could actually be a mm or two larger on lug-to-lug and width. After a week on the wrist, with the Helson mesh, I'm very pleased. This one has the Miyota 9015, which I prefer.
