Great watches! Trying to show restraint and not allow non-Seiko specimens to shove their foot in the door. Btw, where are all those guys? Serdal, Hobbes, Dad, Dawg, king Rat?

I recently picked up a Helson Turtle in terrific condition. I was a little afraid of the specs, being too large, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wears a LOT smaller than it appears on paper. It could actually be a mm or two larger on lug-to-lug and width. After a week on the wrist, with the Helson mesh, I'm very pleased. This one has the Miyota 9015, which I prefer.
This design seems much more worthy of being compared to a turtle than a 6309-704X or new SRP family. I can see a turtle profile with the case height. Thanks a sweet watch you got there riffraff 7dfe79adc2f0

I love mine. Unfortunately, it appears that Helson is no longer making them. Mine is an earlier version in that it has an ETA movement which I only recently discovered can hack & hand-wind too! Subsequent runs had the Miyota movement. The Turtle is Helson's reinterpretation of the iconic Certina DS-2 & DS-3 Super PH series, which I always lusted for. In spite of it's height, it doesn't dominate my 7.25" wrist either.
