I hate when people pull out the pushers with pliers, must have been an issue with mine, as the lower pusher is really beat up, also opening the case back revealed a fairly clean movement but a bent hammer...I can't even imagine what forces caused that. i was hoping just to change gaskets, crystal and clean up the case a bit, but it looks like it has to go to Colorado at some point.

Hi, I'm a little hesitant to post on here. I like the Pogue watch and have been looking for one for a couple of months. I purchased mine from Ebay and I think I did ok but you have so much more knowledge than me I am looking for opinions. The watch is completely functional. It keeps time well and from what I have read it seems to not be a Frankenwatch. What do you think? pogue front 2.pdf (120 KB) I am having trouble posting pics. I downsized them to well under 1MB but I keep getting a file too large error. Help? Thanks

That looks like an awesome, all original and correct example. It will clean up beautifully. I'm not a 100% sure about the crown! should have a dimple in it ( can't see from pics) enjoy it! Looks great! mine says hello, Rob

Notice that there are people that when talking about the inner chapter rings claim the white indicator ring is not the correct one for the 6005's I was under the impression the inner rings fade to white. I thought I read where someone said when they had one apart the back side of the indicator ring was still yellow. That would be a good way to tell, because I can't believe it would fade completely. I have a once yellow inner ring that is 100% faded to white and perfectly. It looks like one of the aftermarket items. It came from Australia so the sun was seriously strong. The underside is perfect yellow

I have both NOS and will take some photos for you.

Was the dimpled one more common, or on the early ones? Rob I do not know Rob. Stefan informed me about both types as a real original watch I have has the convex not standard concave (dimple) version. The watch came via the original owner who said it had never been given to any shop to service since he brought it new. I think the rare convex type was likely used as an alternative when the stock had run out for what ever reason of the common dimpled type of crown. That's just my guess but both are listed in the official Seiko part number interchangeability book.

This pepsi insert looks great, looks a bit out of place on this watch. I've been comparing it to some others and I'm still not absolute.

Whaaaat? Why? How? They seem to be multiplying , the 6139 has become the new 6309 for me...another few incomplete donors that will improve ones I already have with enough leftovers to make another complete one. I have decided that a 6309 -704X and a 6139-600X is all I would need to be happy as a WIS. Rob

Is the bezel on a 6139 Pogue removable?
