Is the bezel on a 6139 Pogue removable? The bezel snaps on and off. If you mean is the insert removable, I believe so but there aren't really any good AM replacements about so I wouldn't be removing them if I didn't have to.

Whaaaat? Why? How? They seem to be multiplying , the 6139 has become the new 6309 for me...another few incomplete donors that will improve ones I already have with enough leftovers to make another complete one. I have decided that a 6309 -704X and a 6139-600X is all I would need to be happy as a WIS. Rob View AttachmentI here you. It started with a innocent phone call fron the wife about a 6005 resist dial Pogue. Now I have 2 complete 6005 1 partial 6005 and I'm working on acquiring another one. Then the big parts swap and servicing will commence.

Here's my 6005. Is the subdial a separate piece?

No, it is not. The dial is one piece. Very nice watch!

About two months ago, a friend of mine , bougth this pogue and he shows me, when I see it, I explain to him that it was a very good piece, proof, notched case , date of fabrication, etc, etc. a few days ago, he came and says: I have bougth another one, but a normal one, then I give it for you because you will appreciate it. Anyone knows something about this crystal, with a metal ring?

I actually read somewhere recently about the early ones having some metal ring around the crystal.. i can't remember.. i'd be doing some researching into the 6000 designation and see where that leads you. Here's my Pogue i just got back from a service on Saturday. It's a "true pogue" as far as dial combination and 6005 model number goes. It's from July '72. I swapped the dial and movement into my better case, along with a better correct early lighter blue bezel insert and a better yellow rotating ring. I honestly think this thing is gorgeous.. and the dial is almost immaculate. It also has the water resist text which i really prefer over the non resist text models.

Interesting thread on Pogue inserts on TOF, some inserts, under the 60 where the red meets the blue @12 o clock, there is (or in some cases isn't) a white square marker. checked mine...5 don't have it, one does, they are all original. Never noticed that. Is it something that Seiko did on later models? 4 of mine are resist, the one with the marker I bought separately because it looked almost NOS (bezel and insert) so I don't know if it was produced later. Any insight? Can you guys check your inserts, and she'd some light?

There's a few on this thread alone that do have the box...is it possible that during a certain period there were bezels with this type of insert?
