Which other Denver and how do you tell 1 from 2. I'm not really a collector but have some. If you mean the other dollar, they're both the same I just flipped that for both sides. All in one plastic leaf. The width of the reverse motto's differentiates a Type 1 from a Type 2. Bicentennial quarters, halves, and dollar were minted in 1975 and 1976 even thought each years issues bore the 1976 date.

They are a great looking coin. Nice scoop. I don't see these on the mint sight, wassup? These are bullion Silver Eagles and the make 20 million a year. They are sold by distributors usually for $4 or more than the silver spot price each. The mint sells "collector" versions with the W mint mark which pretty much look the same but just haven't been manhandled as much for $50.

Just looking at your pics, I thought maybe they were some of those special high relief coins. Still they look pretty awesome

Still they look pretty awesome No but the mint is coming out with a gold dime, quarter, and half dollar this year commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the 1916 design changes which were some of the most beautiful designs they ever issued. Unfortunately they will be in gold and not silver like they were originally. It is some legal legislation issue that they can only be minted in gold since they did not get congressional approval. Even Platinum would have been a better choice as it is a white metal. www.coinnews.net/2015/06/19/us-mint-2016-centennial-gold-coin-mock-ups/

The next Canukistanian $20 for $20 is supposes to be out by now. Batman VS. Superman. I know it is a movie tie in but I wish they would have gone with the traditional looking Batman costume instead of the mechanized one on the coin. The rest of the Batman VS. Superman coins have much better designs.

Why are they on a coin minted in a land where all the heros are real people from every walk of life? I would be down for a pure gold US coin with the fine stampings that I see in your post!

That is a sorry excuse for a coin. Almost as bad as the Bill Clinton coins. I don't think I'll be reaching for any gold issues. This is something I've had for w while. 1883 New Orleans mark. I have seen the same lucite mold on a 1972 Eisenhower dollar.

On top of the coins being something you would expect the Franklin mint to put out, $20 for a $20 dollar coin, about the Cdn. equivalent to 1oz silver value, for 7.96 grams of silver with about 28 grams / oz. I think the Silver eagles are a far better deal. Am I missing something? Or is this W. Bros., Nascar et al in for a money grab

It goes back to the old school days of ALL nations on the SILVER standard after they bailed on the GOLD standard. Now it is a global fiat money conspiracy. Will post more (not preach) when sober but the Canuckistanian $20 for $20 idea was you people give $20 in paper for 1/4 oz .999 fine silver commemorative coin. Unlike most commems you people only paid face value. Most PM coins have a low face value way below actual metal content. The $20 for $20 is more along the guidelines of the old days on LCT. If YOU PEOPLE ever feel you are on the short end of the stick you can take your $20 for $20 that you paid CAN$20 for to any name brand bank and get your paper CAN$20 back. The rest of us South of the Canukistan / Dixie line that paid US$15 are left holding the bag for $15 for $4 in PM.

I finally got some good boxes. Box 1 had 1 ender. 2 1964's, 4 40%ers, and an NIFC. There were some coins from January mixed in there so that is a good sign that there is fresh silver being dumped into the pool. Box 2 had a Walker, a proof, and 1 NIFC. Box 3 a couple of NIFC and a worn off sticker. Box 4 had 2 enders. 1 1964, 4 40%ers one of which looked like was silver plated , and an NIFC.

About the 20 for 20 deal. It seems to me that $20 for about 1/4 oz of silver takes away any investment value on the rise in silver prices. I can't see these coins having any great appreciation as a collector item, JMHO. There is comfort in knowing you get your $20 back. I think the Silver Eagle has more of an upside in both the value of silver and maybe resale as a coin. What say you?

Superman. www.ebay.com/itm/121903500754I guess even the Canukistanian gubment will be more than gracious to take Omabambucks vs Twoonies even after Enbay and paypal fees. I smell a Global Money Laundering Scheme in the works.

Unless you like the coins, I still don't see an upside other than break even.
