I was honoured to recieve several new craft brews for Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands this week end. These are three of the delightful if not very intoxicating beverages... As you can see, the two on the left of the photo have evaporated . The one on the right has no hope of seeing the sun set
I also inherited two cases of Hornbeer Grisk. This is a really nice IPA style beer that you can drink until the cows come home and not feel like you ate pasture patties the night before. I'll try and get som pictures of the bottles(650ml) and the case.

Here are the promised pictures... I got 2 dozen of these. It is a very pleasant European IPA with delicate fruit notes and a respectable ABV
This is the box they come in ...
Only two guesses why I like this stuff

If you haven't had it and are in the San Diego area try Mother Earth's Cali Creamin'. It is an amazing summer beer!

In photos: New beer hotel with in-room beer taps and shower beer fridge
At the DogHouse hotel in Columbus, Ohio, all 32 rooms are kitted out with beer taps and built-in shower beer fridges. Guests are greeted by a lobby bartender who will fix them up with a complimentary beer while they're being checked-in. And for entertainment, true craft beer lovers can watch the brewers at work from their bedroom window overlooking the facility and learn more about the history and making of craft beer at the 6,000-square-foot interactive beer museum. Take a peek at BrewDog's DogHouse Hotel, which opens Monday.

Fresh from my distributor...
This is a really nice Barley Wine beer with an 11.8% ABV content. Nice and warming; perfect for the colder weather ahead
Check out the label and google translate what you see there. You might find a telling story of infidelity

Ok, this stuff is wicked dangerous! It starts off with a nice warming sensation that progresses to memory bliss; ie WTF was I just doing??? Seems that the expiry date(Apr 16 of 2014) was a while ago and the alcohol content is still rising! My brother is a vintner and brewer so I'll take a bottle to him and get him to test the ABV. The advertised content...11.8%

Admittedly the stuff inherited is off by about 3 years but an alcohol content meter shows this batch to be about 14.3%!!!
Only 2 bottles left and I don't think they will survive until the morning. I will have to be very, very, very careful when walking back to my bedroom

My sister bought me these for Christmas, and I’ve finally got round to drinking them. The Motörhead ‘Road Crew’ American Pale Ale, brewed by Camerons, is very nice indeed - 5% ABV. Moderately hoppy pale ale, slightly fruity. Shame it was only a 330ml glass and a pint glass... The Status Quo ‘Dog of Two Head’, brewed by Hobsons, is a chestnut amber ale at 4.2% ABV. Nothing special if I’m honest. Slightly citrus, malty taste. Drinkable I suppose, just like Quo are listenable. The Iron Maiden ‘Trooper’, brewed by Robinsons, is one I’ve had on a few occasions before, most recently in the Cart & Horses pub in Maryland, Stratford - the site of Maiden’s debut gig in 1976. Described as a ‘premium British beer’ it’s a golden brown, almost caramel beer with a developing bitterness. 4.7% ABV

Big fan of Maiden and Motohead (had a friend in college who called them Motornoise) and have tried the Trooper before. May have to track down the Motorhead beer and give that a shot but I really don't drink much beer anymore as it loves to makes its home on my waist line! Very nice pint glasses and tins!
Thanks for the review!

One for scubarob99. Ok, it isn’t beer but I guess it fits in here... Finishing the evening with a shot of this - A birthday gift from our Polish neighbours. I’m immediately transported back to the Eszeweria bar in Krakow where a couple of these got me pissed from the legs upwards...
