Just wondering why the vintage ladies peices can be had for a fraction of what a corresponding men's Seiko would fetch.
I realize that most WIS's are men, but certainly a nice ladies vintage peice, in exceptional condition, should at least come close to a similar men's model in decidedly lesser condition.
I tell you, a vintage WIS lady could score a great deal any day of the week on most watch boards and Flea Bay.
Don't we all have wives and girlfriends who might want to join in the fun? Mine sure does.

Definitely down to supply and demand. There are just more men currently buying vintage watches. If you have a smaller wrist, or don't mind a smaller watch, there are some screaming deals out there! My wife does like the vintage watches I've gotten her, but she really doesn't want a collection like I have. She's fine with the three she has now (quartz LL Bean "military" beater, a Seiko ladies dress watch and a little '70s era Sicura diver.

Chris is always finding me great deals on vintage watches. Most women want to be "in tread" and until some celebrity makes it super cool to wear these older time pieces they will continue to fall under the radar. I bet if Oprah did it.. ebay would be hopping!

Anyone seen a Queen Seiko?
I found one years ago on Ebay and traded it.
I have pictures somewhere 3 computers ago.
Bought it for pennies on the dollar compared to a King Seiko.

No demand for them. Many women didn't wear a watch back in the day, and even fewer do so now.
Watches are jewelry for men. Jewelry is jewelry for women.
